We are pleased to offer a number of court and prison tours available for IAWJ attendees in Auckland (pre and post Conference) and in Wellington (post Conference). Registration for these tours is open to registered IAWJ Conference attendees and their registered accommpanying persons. As numbers for each tour are strictly limited, first preference will be given to our overseas attendees.

All tours include a koha for the hosts. A koha is an example of the reciprocity which is a common feature of much Māori tradition, and often involves the giving of gifts by visitors (manuhiri) to a host. Traditionally this has often taken the form of food although taonga (treasured possessions) are also sometimes offered as koha, and in modern times money. At hui, any money given helps with the actual costs associated with the meeting. Where applicable, costs also cover transport, administration and refreshments.
